Brunswick and Portland Maine

Photos while travelling inBrunswick and Portland Maine...probably the most inked city I have ever been to.

Here are 2 photos of my favorite breakfast ever. It's a very hearty whole wheat bread, toasted then slathered with good butter and honey. The cafe Americano was also excellent. Both these from Arabica Cafe.

Downtown Portland
Dyke March

It's quite rough around the edges and gritty. Raw actually. But still charming because it feels real.
But it has a bumping nightlife. Every bar and club were abuzz with people out having a great time. Good vibes.

I loved the bricks. Brick sidewalks. Brick buildings.

Red Bluff

Here are photos of the Calatrava Sundial Bridge from Red Bluff, CA

In the summer, the temperature goes as high as 110; so, hold those pets when crossing this bridge

Eating sa Philippines

My aunt's pomelo, freshly picked
Pomelo close up
Road stop snack en route to Manila: coffee, fried wild boar jerky, and garlic rice
A glass of rose--feels good in that Manila heat and humidity
My nephew made me this for breakfast: hard boiled eggs with tomato, rice, corned beef sauteed with onions and potato, bolognese ala Pinoy (sweeter, not much herbs)
Roasted eggplant and fresh water buffalo cheese, wrapped in bacon w/ salad

Lunch stop en route to So. Luzon: beautiful nilagang baboy (that's the soup)--with an amazing clarity, rice, and bitter melon with scrambled egg and minced pork
My cousins kitchen utensils
Rice cake with salted egg and freshly grated coconut--one of the snacks I ate while riding the bust to my hometown
And finally, the super yummy JAL foods: unlimited green tea and free red wine
